I have a really big and exciting announcement...Stay tuned...... smile emoticon

In the meantime here is just a quick peek of my beginnings into the mist of my latest piece....I'll show more as I progress. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by. smile emoticon

A very exciting day in the studio !

Today I am very excited to share with you that I have passed one of my "bucket list” milestones as an artist. I have been working hard towards this goal for quite some time and it has finally happened.
I have been juried into the prestigious Society of Animal Artists and I couldn’t be happier!!!!
This International Society recognizes artistic achievements and is devoted to promote excellence in the portrayal of domesticated and wild animals in art.

Thank-you for your continued encouragement and support over the years. I look forward to sharing with you all the wonderful opportunities ahead.

Roby King Galleries presents...."Drawing - The Human Touch"

I am very excited to announce my latest upcoming show. I have been invited to take part in a group show titled "Drawing - The Human Touch" featuring some wonderfully talented artists....This will be my debut show with the Roby King Galleries in beautiful Bainbridge Island Washington. I'm very excited to be attending the opening and hope to meet some of the local artists and people.... Hope to see you there.

A Peek at whats on the drawing board

The start of 2015 has been a fairly busy one. With a couple exciting projects that have deadlines attached, it has kept me in the studio and out of the winter rain. I'd like to give you a peek into one of the pieces thats on the drawing board. Something a little different for me , I've decided to move a bit inland for this one. :) I hope you enjoy seeing this come to life... Thank-you for checking in and please feel free to leave your comments below.

First Pencil strokes into the water

Had a wonderful BC Long Weekend and even got out for an evening kayak with my wife around the waters where we live. Such a beautiful spot with lots of artistic inspiration.
Speaking of time on the water, I would like share a small section of the beginning stage of my latest piece. It's a subject totally new for me but I'm always up for the challenge...water is one of the most difficult elements so follow along as we learn this one together. Enjoy

Off to the Great Bear Rainforest

June has been a very exciting month so far and there is no sign of it slowing... My latest last minute adventure...I'm boarding the Columbia 3 with Mothership Adventures and heading back to BC's Great Bear Rainforest !!!
I have been graciously invited to join two fellow artists Mark Hobson and Gaye Adams as they both lead art workshops in the forests and on the shorelines of this pristine BC paradise. I will be off the Grid with my cameras, drawing tools and maybe even dipping into a little paint this time.
I look forward to sharing with you my experiences when I return....

Here are a couple images from my last trip to this beautiful part of the world.
