Foggy days on the water can possess both a sense of calm and that of mystery. It can also possess an eerie quietness. For those of us who have had the privilege of witnessing an Orca Pod up close, nothing can pierce those calm, still moments like the sound of the blows of a passing pod of killer whales. In this piece I hoped to capture that moment when the silence is broken and the stillness is stirred.
